Timo Anis is a professional, self-taught photographer based in Tallinn, Estonia, specializing in sports, action, and commercial work. What began as casual film experiments at university, and an early 4MP Olympus camera bought while studying in Dublin, grew into a full-time career by 2014 through persistence, field practice, and a love for capturing real moments.

Best known for rally coverage, Timo is a permanent photographer for the FIA World Rally Championship with 150+ rounds documented. His work has earned WRC Prograde Photo of the Year (2019, 2024) and multiple nominations in the Estonian Annual Press Photography Competition. He also shares techniques and industry insights with his community, advocating for the craft and accessible gear.
Timo’s style favors in-camera composition over heavy post, using broader perspectives, layered foregrounds, and fresh angles to convey speed and atmosphere. He draws inspiration from people and raw emotion, as well as the energy of motorsport, automotive design, and the possibilities of light in any condition.
