ISO 400 panchromatic black-and-white film combining higher sensitivity, fine grain, high sharpness and T-Grain technology. 35 mm format, 36 exposures. Similar to Kodak Alaris T-MAX 400.

Speed and detail with T-Grain technology

EKTAPAN 400 uses a T-Grain emulsion with flat, tabular silver-halide crystals that improve light absorption while keeping grain appearance relatively low. This structure supports high resolution, clear edge definition and a clean look compared with traditional cubic-grain films, while the family’s wide latitude supports flexible exposure and processing.

KODAK EKTAPAN 400 has similar characteristics to KODAK PROFESSIONAL T-MAX 400 in the Kodak Alaris line-up.

What´s the difference between different Kodak manufacturers?

Historically, Eastman Kodak manufactured Kodak photographic film while Kodak Alaris handled its marketing and distribution. Since early 2026 Eastman Kodak has re-entered the still-film market directly, ending Kodak Alaris’s exclusive distribution role. As a result, some of the same Eastman Kodak-manufactured films are now reaching the market through two different Kodak channels.
