Harman Griffin 200 Colour Negative Film
New colour film formulation
Griffin has been developed from the ground up with improvements to colour reproduction, contrast and sharpness, as well as greater exposure latitude. Enhanced UV protection and significantly reduced halation help produce cleaner images with better-defined details, particularly around bright areas and strong highlights.
The ISO 200 sensitivity makes Griffin well suited to general photography, including travel, street photography, portraits and everyday shooting. Its flexibility between ISO 200 and 400 gives photographers additional freedom when light levels change or when a slightly faster shutter speed is needed.
Designed with scanning in mind
Griffin has also been developed to provide improved scanning performance. Unlike many traditional colour negative films, the film does not require a conventional colour mask to produce high-quality images. The final appearance can vary depending on the scanner and settings used. Harman notes that Fuji Frontier scans generally produce more neutral tones, while Noritsu scans can have a warmer appearance before adjustment.
This makes Griffin suitable both for commercial lab processing and for photographers who digitise negatives at home using a digital camera or flatbed scanner.
Standard C-41 processing
Griffin uses the standard C-41 colour negative process, allowing it to be developed by most photo laboratories offering colour film processing.
