Light and performance
The handheld format gives direct control of the beam and makes the light easy to aim. Three brightness levels are reached by twisting the head, cycling from low through medium to high. An ultra-thin optical lens delivers a soft, balanced beam rather than a tight hotspot, which suits close work such as finding a lock or looking into a bag. It is suitable for a keyring, pocket, toolbox, glovebox or emergency kit.
Power, handling and durability
It runs on a single AAA battery, either alkaline or Ni-MH rechargeable, and one is included. There is no standby current, so the battery is not drained while the light sits unused. The control layout uses a twist head for on, off and output selection, so there is no electronic switch to activate accidentally. The construction is made for real use, with all-metal CNC machining, a premium type HAIII hard-anodised finish and an IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating.
