Fenix MINI-LITE Compact EDC Flashlight
Seven modes cover white light plus the coloured reading and flashing modes, and the integrated clip holds it on a pocket or a cap brim. USB-C charging keeps it ready without any loose batteries.
Light and performance
The compact format suits close work and being seen rather than lighting up distance. The mode set covers seven modes, with white light plus a down-facing red or blue reading light and red or blue flashing for signalling. A MATCH CA18 white LED handles the main output and Everlight 2835 red and blue LEDs handle the coloured modes. The white beam has a 23.7 degree spot and 80 degree spill, and the coloured spill reaches 160 degrees, which is what makes it visible from the side. It is suitable for a keyring, pocket, cap brim, handbag or emergency kit.
Power, handling and durability
The built-in 275 mAh Li-polymer battery charges over USB-C. The control layout keeps the white and coloured light sources separate, so the signal modes do not have to be cycled through in normal use. The construction is made for real use, with an IP66 rating for rain resistance and the ability to withstand a 1 m drop. Useful details include the integrated clip and the down-facing coloured light. For a flashlight this small, the clip and switching matter more than grip because it is normally used attached to something.
