Light and performance
The handheld format gives direct control of the beam and makes the light easy to aim. The mode set covers three positions on the rotary switch: lockout, low and high. The laser light source produces a far more focused spotlight than a standard LED, with minimal spillover, so almost all of the output goes down range. Instant High and instant Strobe are available for tactical use. It is suitable for observation work, a vehicle, kit bag or field pack.
Power, handling and durability
The included ARB-L21-6000 6000 mAh 21700 battery charges through the hidden USB-C port in the light neck, taking about four hours from empty with a 15 W or stronger adapter. A battery level indicator shows remaining power. The control layout uses a rotary mode switch with a tactical tail switch for on, off and momentary-on, so the main functions are easy to reach in normal use. The construction is made for real use, with an A6061-T6 aluminium body and a hard-anodised finish. Useful details include intelligent overheat protection, which steps output down when the head gets hot on High.
