Polaroid Now Generation 3 – Thrasher Edition
The Now Gen 3 uses an upgraded two-lens autofocus system that switches automatically between close-up and distance focus zones. Close-up covers roughly 0.4–1.3 m, while the standard lens handles about 1 m to infinity. A repositioned light meter and improved distance sensor help exposures and focus stay consistent, even in bright or tricky light.
Exposure is managed by a custom shutter and a six-step aperture, approximately f/11 to f/64, for better control over brightness and depth. A built-in flash supports low-light shooting. The camera adds a tripod mount and works with snap-on filters for creative looks. You also get self-timer and double-exposure modes for simple in-camera effects. Power comes from a built-in USB-C rechargeable battery, and the body uses around 40% recycled materials. Weight is about 450 g.
Film and format
Now Gen 3 shoots Polaroid i-Type film and is also compatible with classic 600 film. Standard i-Type packs contain eight shots at about ISO 640 with a 79 × 79 mm image area on the iconic 88 × 107 mm frame, developing in roughly 10–15 minutes.
