Andy Cașotă is a Bucharest-based commercial filmmaker and visual storyteller who founded Cabo Studio, a photography and videography production studio. His journey began in 2013 with wedding photography, though filmmaking was always his deeper passion. In 2023, he made the transition into commercial photography and filmmaking, going on to direct and film TV commercials for companies across Romania. In 2025, after more than a decade of running his production business, he bought his first RED camera and committed fully to telling his own stories with the creative freedom to pursue the projects he loves most.
Andy describes himself first and foremost as a storyteller. His style is simple, elegant, and warm, always shaped by the story he wants to tell through photography and filmmaking. He draws inspiration from stories, his family, light, and gear, believing that light is what carries the magic of any frame and helps a filmmaker say what they truly want to say.
Among his most meaningful work are two episodes of his personal documentary series "Omul din spatele profesiei" ("The Human Behind the Profession") and an ongoing documentary with Alexis Stan, one of the youngest drift pilots in Europe. His dream project is a series of travel videos created with his family, built around real stories and shared memories, made to inspire others to follow their own dreams.
