Julius Paul's journey into photography and videography began as a family tradition. His father worked in the event industry from 1991 to 2000, and in 2008, at age 17, Julius received his first DSLR camera, a Nikon D60. That gift sparked a serious study of the craft, leading him to photograph his first events by 2009. By 2011, at just 20 years old, he had launched his own photography and commercial videography business in Cluj-Napoca, building a team that continues to grow today.

Julius pursued his passion academically as well, completing his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in the Photo-Video department at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca. Today, he's not only a working photographer and filmmaker but also the founder of Tell a Story, a project dedicated to setting a new standard for visual education in Romania. His background in pedagogy, studying education for both children and adults during university, fuels his mission to inspire the next generation of visual storytellers.

His style is built on two pillars: storytelling and color. Julius believes in listening deeply to his clients' stories to understand who they are and what they need, then paying close attention to every detail during the event so the final work authentically reflects their narrative. Color plays an equally crucial role. He's meticulous about tones and nuances, carefully adapting his palette to match each moment's atmosphere. The result is a style that's relaxed, bright, and warm, capturing authentic stories without staging, forced poses, or pressure.

Julius is a self-described perfectionist who never leaves anything to chance. He's highly organized, believing that "we'll see what happens" has no place in professional work. Everything is carefully planned to ensure the best outcome, with backups always ready. His big dream? To buy a bus converted into a home, travel the world, and discover people's stories, capturing them through photographs and films.

His advice for beginners echoes Salvador Dalí's wisdom about genius: "Copy as much as possible until you master the technique. Try to reproduce things as faithfully as you can, but don't show them to anyone. Once you've mastered the technical part, forget about copying everything you see online or following trends. Be honest with yourself, and have the courage to express your thoughts, feelings, and personal taste through your photos and films."
